Students at Ormiston Chadwick Academy are given their own email address which will allow them to communicate with staff for the purpose of homework, coursework and academic feedback.
This email account will be linked to the student’s Academy username and password and is provided for educational use only. Students will be asked to ensure that they do not use this as a personal email account and that they adhere to the following rules:
All emails sent through our system can be monitored and misuse will be dealt with as a behaviour incident, which could result in this facility being removed from a student as well as a further sanction. We ask that you discuss this with your child to ensure that they are aware of this and that they conduct themselves appropriately.
We have chosen Microsoft’s Office 365 platform to provide the Academy’s email system which has the added benefit of providing Office to every student free of charge. With Office 365, your child will now have access to the latest version of Word, for writing; Excel, for spreadsheets; PowerPoint, for presentations; OneNote, for organization and note taking; and much more.
Instruct your child to follow these simple steps to get Office:
1. For PC and Mac:
a. Visit Office.com/GetOffice365
b. Click through to sign in with school-provided credentials & download
c. On the installation page select your language and click install
2. For iOS and Android:

Your child will need their Academy username followed by @ocacademy.co.uk and their network password to sign in. If you have trouble installing Office, this guide may resolve your issue: http://aka.ms/office365help.

Please also note that this software is only available to you whilst your child is at the Academy, students will have their license removed when they leave or if the breach the rules for use outlined above.
